| Notes | The region of space surrounding the bright star Antares is awash with color and dramatic dark lanes. In the above photo Antares is the bright star in the lower right. The two globular clusters shown here are M4 (upper right) and NGC 6144 (10:30 position from Antares). At lower center is Scorpii 22, a grouping of three bright stars surrounded by IC 4605, a small, horseshoe shaped reflection nebula. The large reflection nebulae in the upper left corner are IC 4603 and 4604. |
