| Notes | Also known as the Cat's Paw or Bear Claw Nebula, NGC 6334 is a challenge object for northern hemisphere imagers because of its low altitude in the night sky, making it difficult to obtain sharp, high resolution images of this magnificent emission nebula. The above image was taken in sub arc-second seeing conditions through hazy skies in the full light glow of the Los Angeles basin at near full Moon from the Mount Wilson Observatory. |
