| Notes | Van den Bergh 142 is a ghostly dark lane in the large emission nebula IC 1396 in Cepheus. Its shape is somewhat reminiscent of the Pillars of Creation in the Eagle Nebula M17, which was made famous by the Hubble Space Telescope. |
